COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - Iowa Congressman David Young announced the Second Annual Iowa Senior Wellness and Security Expo will take place this Saturday, July 29th at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The Expo connects Iowa seniors, their families and caretakers with a variety of services and resources available to them. The event features a one-stop-shop with representatives from over 30 local, regional, state and federal organizations and agencies dedicated to serving seniors.

These crooks use an emotional connection, intentionally cause confusion, and make promises that are too good to be true so that they can steal from you making you the victim in their fraud and schemes.

The last thing you probably worry about when refueling your car on a winter day is theft of your credit card and personal information. Unfortunately, scam artists and thieves are very comfortable using the regular routine of getting gas, renting a movie at an automated machine and getting cash from an ATM to steal your money and identity. Not only do these thieves compromise Iowans’ financial well-being, they also compromise Iowans’ trust in their transactions and institutions, as well as each other.
