This week, under suspension of the rules, the House is expected to consider several pieces of legislation.
Last month, Aetna and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield announced their plan to pull out of Iowa’s individual health insurance market for 2018. And on May 3, the Des Moines Register reported Medica would follow the footsteps of those other carries and leave the individual insurance market if stability was not returned to the market.
Relief for Americans Caught in the Obamacare Tax Penalty Catch-22

HEALTH CARE ACCESS DESERTS ON THE HORIZON
Lack of access to health care is health care denied.
Since coming to Congress, I have supported fixing the Affordable Care Act – some refer to it as Obamacare – with a consumer's choice plan reducing costs and providing better care for the people of Iowa. My principles for strengthening health care have always remained the same.
