Open Office Hours in Glenwood next week

Iowa Congressman David Young continues his schedule of hosting open meeting events with his constituents with additional Open Office Hours events in June.

Open Office Hours are a resource for Iowans who reside in the Third Congressional District to meet with Congressman Young in 10 minute one-on-one meetings on a first come, first served basis. Constituents can use these meetings to discuss issues before Congress, their concerns, or to get casework assistance with a federal agency or program.

“Being an elected official is about accessibility, and listening and acting in the best interest of the people you are honored to represent,” said Congressman Young. “Over the past three years I have had the privilege of hosting hundreds of meetings with thousands of Iowans. These Open Office Hours serve as an additional resource for my bosses who want to petition their government, or seek assistance with government red tape, in person.”

Monday, June 11, 2018:  9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - City Council Chambers - 5 N. Vine St. Glenwood, IA

Residents of Iowa’s Third District who are interested in meeting with Congressman Young are encouraged to attend any of the Open Office Hours events. Individual, ten-minute meetings to discuss personal concerns, opinions and possible casework needs will take place with constituents in attendance on a first come, first served basis. Participants must be residents of one of the 16 counties of Iowa’s Third Congressional District. Congressman Young travels to each of the 16 counties in the Third Congressional District at least once every month hosting hundreds of meetings with thousands of Iowans each year. The Open Office Hours events are an additional resource available to residents of the Third District, giving them even more opportunities to voice their opinions on the issues impacting Iowa and the nation. The Open Office Hours are held throughout the year in addition to Young’s yearly Coffee with My Congressman town meetings in every county.
