  • "SCOTT PRUITT'S DEPARTURE IS LONG OVERDUE'': Last week, Congressman Young said former EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt hurt Iowa farmers by undercutting the Renewable Fuel Standard. Read the full statement on Pruitt's resignation HERE
  • FY19 APPROPRIATIONS: The House Appropriations Committee, which decides how the federal government spends its money, is continuing the FY19 appropriations process this week. As Iowa's only member on the Appropriations Committee, Congressman Young is scheduled to participate in the full committee markup of the FY 19 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Bill. 
  • DES MOINES AREA FLOODING: Congressman Young remains engaged with state and local officials on how best to assist with flooding recovery in the Des Moines Area. The Congressman joined the Governor and others last week to hear from Iowans and tour affected area. Find resources available to affected Iowans HERE.
  • PRESS THIS WEEK: On Wednesday, Congressman Young is scheduled to join KCSI live at 7:18 a.m., KMA's The Morning Line live at 7:35 a.m. He will also join Let's Talk Guthrie County on Raccoon Valley Radio Wednesday. Additional outlets may be added.
