Thanksgiving is a holiday rooted in American tradition, engrained in hundreds of years of being grateful for all we have. In looking forward to Thanksgiving this year, I am reminded of how truly thankful I am to live in this great nation, and grateful for those who serve to protect it.

Iowa Congressman David Young and South Dakota Senator John Thune today applauded the unanimous U.S. Senate approval of the No Veterans Crisis Line Call Should Go Unanswered Act (H.R. 5392). Congressman Young introduced the legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year, and Senator Thune introduced a companion version of the legislation in the U.S. Senate.

Today, Iowa Congressman David Young and Arizona Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema, cofounders of the Bipartisan Congressional Task Force to Combat Identity Theft and Fraud, applauded the passage of the Anti-Spoofing Act of 2015, bipartisan legislation introduced by New York Congresswoman Grace Meng to crack down on telephone scams that defraud millions of American families.

Iowa Congressman David Young has announced his office will distribute a limited number of 58th Presidential Inauguration tickets to Iowans in the Third Congressional District planning to travel to Washington, D.C. for the historic event. The tickets are free of charge and will be distributed through a lottery system at a later date.
