60 Second Survey - Should the Senate act?
Our veterans make great sacrifices on behalf of our freedoms and liberties, and it is up to us to ensure they have the services and resources they need when they return home - especially when it comes to mental health care.
I introduced the No Veterans Crisis Line Call Should Go Unanswered Act (H.R. 5392) to make improvements to the Veterans Crisis Line, which is the toll-free hotline for veterans seeking suicide prevention and crisis resource help from U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs responders. It recently passed out of the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 357-0 and currently awaits consideration in the U.S. Senate. Disappointingly, political posturing from one retiring Democrat senior member stands in the way of crucial improvements to a hotline so many veterans in crisis rely on.
Do you think it's time the Senate pass the No Veterans Crisis Line Call Should Go Unanswered Act?
